Nestled under a historic railway arch in the heart of central London, the first proof-of-concept facility. +Space Self Storage Southwark is located ~500 m from three tube station. It offers over 30 units across over 2,000 sq ft. Cutting-edge technology provides the highest level of security and convenience for its customers.

Partnership

The facility’s placement under vital railway infrastructure, elaborate ownership structure, and volumetric real estate parameters required a problem-solving mentality. To find suitable legal, design, fit-out, and operational solutions, +Space Storage partnered with industry-leading companies.

Our collaboration with Kuboid ensured seamless project management. Ace Fire & Security, DSOC remote monitoring services, and Stora management software were added to complete the bespoke solution.

PTI access control and CCTV work together to control who is on site, follow their movements, and provide full traceability of events. The addition of sensors and speakers allows remote monitoring services to intervene when necessary.

The introduction of the PROEDGE Bluetooth electronic latch from PTI made the whole concept of website-to-storage unit rentals possible. The rental procedure includes an automatic SMS message sent to the client’s smartphone with a link to download the PTI STORID App, which is populated with the rental details.

Security

The security of the PROEDGE unit comes from the onboard accelerometer, which senses vibrations. It’s programmed to recognize criminal activity at the latch or with the storage unit.

Features include automatic overlocking and a “no-phone” option that allows selective rentals with PIN access at the keypad.

The PTI StorLogix remote app provides additional comfort for the operator. StorLogix allows the management to connect to the store and see all events on a smartphone.
