The New Face in Self-Storage
The New Face in Self-Storage
The AP1 smart keypad for self-storage blends 40 years of keypad expertise with next-generation Bluetooth technology to enhance the operator and tenant experience. Featuring a high-resolution OLED display, the AP1 allows operators to display customized and branded messaging to tenants, to drive tenants to the operator’s online storefront. With AP1, tenants experience touchless entrance and exit of the facility with just a swipe on their phone. Choose the AP1 to take your access control to the next level and redefine your tenant experience.
Each AP1 is built with Bluetooth connectivity functionality to take the tenant experience to the next level.
The larger OLED display allows detailed and customizable messages to accommodate facility branding.
The form factor housing the AP1 provides easier maintenance due to the hinged chassis and self capturing screws.
“I've been working with PTI for several years now, and familiar with their previous software and keypad models. When I started using the AP1 alongside Storlogix Cloud it was a completely different world. The interfacing and programming is all customizable and easy to work with. The clamshell design makes install so much simpler- a gamechanger.”

Designed to help self-storage owners and operators create a seamless experience for tenants, StorID provides tenants with the ability to open gates, doors, and view access activity from their mobile device.
With StorID, there’s no getting out of the car at the gate, no keys to lose, and no more access codes to remember. Access is as simple as opening up the app and swiping the screen while still inside your vehicle to open the gate making property entrances completely touchless and contactless.

It retrofits easily to existing RS485 networks using 18-gauge shielded wiring and is a direct retrofit or upgrade to the VP Keypad with minimal differences.
It will initially use EasyCode to support the Bluetooth connectivity elements that are part of the AP1. In the coming months EasyCode subscribers will be transitioned to StorID as will all PTI customers for a single app experience.
Once AP1 is able to be accessed through StorID, digital keysharing will also become available to tenants who desire to share access with other individuals of their choosing.
Much of the custom branding options will be on the StorID app itself vs the keypad, where operators will have the option to include a full color logo of their facility and contact information.
Future firmware updates will allow for one color logo uploads to support operator’s logos for additional branding opportunitie
Yes, the VP Standard keypad had one input and one relay. The AP1 has two inputs and 2 relays, so operators can leverage extended door controls that were only available with the Apex keypad. This means operators can determine if their climate-controlled doors are being propped open or if their door has been forced open, and they can even detect the state of the door (open or closed). Notifications can even be set up to alert operators if doors are forced or held open through StorLogix Cloud.
Yes, it’s much easier to service the AP1 compared to the VP Standard. First, the AP1 has a hinged enclosure (no more holding the VP faceplate in your left hand while turning a screwdriver with your right). It has captive screws, so you won’t lose them
Yes. Not only do the keys light up when pressed, but they also communicate messaging via color changes of the backlights themselves. Green glowing keys indicate approval or entrance granted, while red glowing keys suggest a denial.
